Post #26 Active In Our Community
American Legion Davenport Iowa Post #26 is very active in our community in both sponsorship activities and events. Post 26 provides military rights in the community as well as attends several parades a year, honors or police and firemen, and provides flag disposal ceremonies twice a year.
Honor Guard Post 26
Post 26 Honor Guard performs military rights for funerals, flag ceremonies, flag etiquette, new flags, and any other place where military rights are needed.
  Post 26 in Parades
Post 26 currently attends the Veterans Day Parade, the Blue Grass Days Parade, and will also attend any other parade in which they are invited.
Honoring Police and Firemen
Our post honored fire and police personnel for heroic acts placing themselves in danger and saving citizen lives with presentation of plaques and money to each department.
Flag Disposal Ceremony
Post 26 offers two flag disposal ceremonies per year for the Quad City Area. Flag disposal follows the US Flag Disposal Code Of Conduct. You may drop your flags off 24/7 at Post 26.
