Donations to the Davenport Iowa Post #26 not only help out our American Legion Pst but also greatly impact the community around us. By sending a donation to Davenport Iowa Post #26 you will be directly influencing and help the James Peavey Library and Museum at our location, the building fund to keep our American Legion Post renovated to serve our community, services that Post #26 provides to the community, and veteran or veterans families in need.
Your donation also will directly help Post #26 in providing scholarships to the area students. The American Legion Davenport Iowa Post #26 offers the Harvey Klindt scholarship as well as six scholarships a year amounting in $1000 a piece to Davenport High School Students. Not only helping our community school program but also programs in the community, your donation will help Post #26 sponsor several programs in the community such as Boy Scouts (Dens, Troops, General), Numerous Little League Baseball Teams, Camp Courageous (For Handicapped Children), Children's Miracle Network (For Handicapped Children), High School After Prom Parties, Davenport Handicapped Development Center, Citizenship Award (For High Schools), Policeman Of The Year Award, Fireman Of The Year Award, Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery.

The American Legion Davenport Iowa Post #26 and Women Auxiliary of Post #26 also help launch the Quad City Honor Flight Program by donating $25,000 in seed money to help get the program started in our community.
